报告题目：Factors Affecting the Rate and Selectivity of Heterogeneous Oxygen Reduction by Iron Porphyrins

Abhishek obtained his undergraduate degree from the Presidency College, India and his PhD from Stanford University, CA, USA. He joined IACS in June 2009 as an Assistant Professor and is currently serving as an Associate Professor at the same department. He is the recipient of the American Chemical Society Division of Inorganic Chemistry Young Investigator Award and Society of Porphyrin and Pthalocyanine Young Investigator Award. He has a background in electronic structure and synthetic inorganic chemistry. His research aims at emulating the reactivity of enzyme active sites in synthetic analogues using the geometric and electronic structure function relationships present in natural systems. His current area of interest includes multi-proton and multi-electron transformations that are key for clean energy and environment and development of new analytical techniques to spectroscopically investigate heterogeneous electrocatalysts.
